Lashes to LASHES began as a lash studio that focused on lash extensions and skincare. We started with two employees and quickly expanded to five artists within three years. We discovered that many of our clients came to us from other salons to have their lashes removed and replaced. While we were happy to replace a set of lashes we recognized the need for talented lash artists in our industry. Each of us could only accommodate so many clients.
It was through the process of recruiting new talent that we learned why there is a void in our area. It wasn't difficult to find an esthetician who had taken a lash course; however, it was near impossible to find one that had mastered the skills necessary to be successful.
It wasn't because they didn't spend enough money on their course or because it wasn't presented by a nationally-known lash company. In fact, the classes given by the best names in the business seemed to offer the least in terms of education. These companies create brand ambassadors, not skilled lash artists.
Why?
The answer is simple: Lashing cannot be learned in a day, two days or even a week. It takes months of practice and mentorship to master the skill. If you are paying for a seminar or a 1-2 day course it will be impossible to leave that class with the knowledge and experience required to be a lash artist.
You can struggle for the next year trying to figure it out through lash forums, videos and additional online instruction or multiple classes. That's the hard way. You will likely become frustrated and give up essentially losing your initial investment.
It shouldn't be this way. The need for talented lash artists is HUGE! The market is saturated with under-educated artists that haven't received proper training. Lashes to LASHES is your one-stop shop for the comprehensive training that is required to begin your career.
We have developed a six month program covering classic and volume lashing that culminates with the student having the necessary skills to begin a successful career.
We offer a payment plan to assist the student with making the investment in his/her future. We understand that many students have already lost their investments on courses that didn't deliver. We don't want class fees to deter them from trying again.
The lash industry has changed drastically in the past 2 years. What was once considered taboo (premade volume fans) is now an industry norm.
For that reason we can train classic and volume lashing in one course. This is huge advancement and canincrease your income potential a great deal.
Have you already invested in a lashing class? Did you recoup the cost of the class with paying clients? How long did it take?
If you follow the steps we lay out for you and put in the time practicing, it will only take 12 full sets to recoup your class fees.
Lashing is a tedious process that requires focus and dedication. Practice, practice, practice is the key to success.
Are you willing to work on 2-8 models a week for a month or 2 models a month for two years? You choose.
Online education is OK for some things but it cannot take the place of hands-on training.
Online courses are much cheaper than in-person training. Don't be fooled into thinking you'll learn how to lash from a video. You'll get what you pay for and nothing more.
Yes you could, but it won't be a part time job and it won't be the first year.
If you master your skills, plan to work 5-6 days a week independently or at a 55% commission rate you can definitely achieve this in time.
We live by this motto! Our lash artists spend very little on marketing. The client is the best for of advertising.
We do our best work every time. Our clients know it and do our marketing for us.
Oh and we post our work on social media....
Our three-month course begins with one day of theory and classic lash pick up, dip and attachment practice on a mannequin. A typical course would end at this point and likely not even include a practice mannequin. This is just the beginning for us.
The second day continues with a live model. This is where the real work begins. Our lash rooms are available six days a week for you to bring your models and practice your new skills. You will work alone with periodic input or together with a mentor until you feel comfortable.
Over the course of three months you will learn how to do a thorough client consultation, work with magnifiers and determine which magnification is best for you, prep the client, place gel pads properly, isolate a lash, separate the lashes, make a strong base bond, and map your lash sets. These are the skills that cannot be taught or mastered in a one-day course.
These tasks will be foreign to you at first. Sending you home after two days in a classroom to figure this out on your own is NOT training. You'll need to attempt these skills in the presence of a coach until you understand each one. If you're on your own you will never know if one bad habit is preventing you from succeeding.
Once you have completed a sufficient number of practice hours and are successfully attaching classic lashes that are isolated and remaining at two-week intervals, we will introduce volume lashing.
Volume lashing is a skill that previously could not be attempted without years of experience under your belt. It is extremely difficult and not for everyone. As our industry has evolved we have moved towards the use of premade fans (not clusters) in our volume sets. This saves a great deal of time and frustration. Many of us volume-trained artists spent hours making our fans ahead of time just to accomplish sets and fills in a timely manner. However, it could take as long as two hours prep for every one client. This is not sustainable.
The first premade fans came with excessive glue on the bases which made them unsightly when we added glue to attach them. Premade fans today are heat bonded which means there is no glue on the lashes from the factory. It is impossible to tell the difference in a complete set.
Volume lashing still takes additional skills as the fans must be wrapped around the natural lash just as they were when we made them as we worked. We recommend that if you have an opportunity you take a course to learn to make volume fans as it takes your lashing skills to a whole new level.
You will develop your skills over time. As your application timing decreases you will also see your sets becoming fuller and your lash mapping refined to really compliment the shape of the client's eye. This is a slow process that will continue on throughout your career. Improving your skill never ends.

We understand that education is expensive. Successful lash artists take continuing education seriously and never stop learning. We hope that this course will be the first and most important in your career. But don't stop here. Make sure you seek out advanced courses and/or attend conferences where you can meet and network with other artists in the country.
Our course is $2000. There are cheaper classes. There are more expensive classes. But there is no class that compares to ours.
Our class is only right for you if you are willing to take advantage of the entire program and put in the practice time. If you plan to attend the first two days and come back one time with a model you will not succeed.
We require a $500 down payment to reserve your place in an upcoming class. Full payment is due the first day of class.
If you have been lashing for a while but still struggle with building your clientele this class is a MUST!
If you are dealing with no-shows, late cancellations and non-compliant clients you have the wrong clientele. If you are still charging discounted prices, you are only working harder for your money.
Learn to draw clients that are seeking the best, not the cheapest.
In this course you will learn that 99% of retention problems are in the application. They are almost never the client's fault. Once you realize this and achieve a perfect base attachment your retention issues will disappear.
The most important part of lashing is mastering your skill. If you are mastering bad habits, you won't be successful. Taking a beginner course alone is not enough to master this art. It takes months, sometimes years, to master lashing. It takes the help of a mentor to discover what you are doing right and what you are doing wrong.
Don't waste the investment you have already made. Take the next step and push your skills to the next level. You won't regret it!
